You’ve watched countless lectures. Saved dozens of clips. Maybe even started a course or two that went nowhere. But deep down, you know scattered learning will get you nowhere. Real Islamic knowledge needs structure, qualified scholars and a clear path from foundation to advanced study.
That’s what the Alimiyyah programme at Madinah College gives you. Three levels. Classical texts. Taught by university professors and students of senior scholars. All online, so your location and schedule don’t hold you back. This is how students of knowledge have always learned. Now it’s your turn.
Students Will Learn
The programme follows three levels, each one a step up from the last. Think of it like building a house. You don’t start with the roof.
Level 1 (Foundations) is your groundwork. You’ll study the texts that scholars have always started their students with, including Al-Bayquniyyah in Hadith, Al-Usul Al-Thalathah in Aqeedah and Umdatul-Fiqh covering Taharah and Salah.
Level 2 (Intermediate) builds on the foundations. Kitab Al-Tawhid, Al-Waraqat in Usul al-Fiqh and Al-Aqidatul-Wasitiyyah sit at the heart of this level. You’ll also learn the proper etiquettes of seeking knowledge, something many students overlook.
Level 3 (Advanced) is going into specialised topics. You’ll study Kitab Al-Buyoo’ covering the Fiqh of Transactions, Al-Aqidah Al-Tahawiyyah and Jarh Wa Ta’deel in the Hadith Sciences. This level is built for students ready to push further into the depth of Islam.
You won’t just read these texts once and move on. Regular review is baked into the method. After each course, you can sit a virtual examination (£50.00 fee per exam) to prove you’ve understood the material, not just skimmed it.
Why Take This Alimiyyah Course
Your professors are formally qualified scholars, graduating from organisations such as Madinah university and they’re students of senior scholars like Shaykh Uthaymeen. The curriculum was carefully crafted by scholars and follows a structured path through three levels, covering classical texts in the order scholars have always taught them.
Certifications
You can choose to sit exams after each course. Pass, and you earn a recognised certificate. It’s not just learning. It’s proof you’ve learned.
Who is this Course for?
This course is for anyone serious about studying Islam properly. You don’t need qualifications or prior experience. Just commitment. Working a 9-to-5? Study around it. At university? Fit it alongside your degree. Living outside the UK? Log in from wherever you are. Lessons are pre-recorded, so your schedule bends around you, not the other way round. Whether you’re starting from scratch or tired of piecing things together from random lectures, this programme meets you where you are.
Can Women Take this Programme?
Yes. Women can and should take this programme. Seeking Islamic knowledge has never been exclusive to men. The Prophet’s (ﷺ) own wives were among the greatest teachers of the religion. Aisha (رضي الله عنها) alone narrated over 2,000 hadiths and companions would seek her out for rulings on Fiqh, inheritance and worship. That tradition carries on today. Lessons are pre-recorded, so sisters can study around family, work or other commitments without compromise.
